Veteran CEG'er
I haven't been around much lately but here are some pictures of my car from this year.
I call it the track slut because I put on 1/20th of the mileage on the car this year only on raods, the rest has been all at the track. Lapping and racing is what I've done with it this year, I might go to a drag strip before the year end to see if I can get some 1/4 mile numbers, curious to see what it can do.
Latest mod, got rid of the plastic tank that melted on me, put in a custom built double walled fuel cell that is baffled and placed so it will help lower the centre of gravity also help with the weight distrubion of the car (front and rear).
Brake ducts (using aircraft ducting which is the proper stuff to use)
Local GT cup race (where I melted the tank, I guess after running for 45 minutes on the limit at the track the exhaust gets hot enough to melt stuff away, not running the stock exhaust, there is a true dual setup, I am guessing header wrap on the exhaust would have been a good idea, but it gave me the excuse to get a fuel cell setup).
Getting towed home after the fuel tank incident(usually gets driven everywhere unless the track is more than 6-7 hours away).
Going down the main straight.
Hopefuly I'll have some time to completely detail the car this weekend sometime and take her out for a proper photoshoot. I haven't washed it at all this year so it deserves a good detailing, it is covered in rubber getting flinged up at the track and I want to see it all shiney and clean for once.
Then the next mod is fitting 255 or 265's all around over winter
