Though i would post some pics of the new truck we bought.
Jess wanted an SUV so we went looking and drove home in a leftover 2007 Dodge Nitro
Fully loaded and a blast to drive.

still have to get some good pics of it, but here are the best i have for now.

the only thing I dont like about it is the running boards. Other than that NICE ride!

its the SLT, the R/T has the 4.0l, beefier suspension, and a body colored grill and lower valence.
they had two R/T's but we liked this one better.
I am getting the grill replaced under warranty and hopefully i can keep it, if i can i will be painting it body color.

i'm pretty sure the RT has bigger rims.

my coworker has one for the business. it's an 06, pretty sure it's a base model. It's definitely a nice truck, but i find the ride overly harsh and the transmisison likes to bang form 1st to second. oh, and the steering makes horrible noises if you cut it all the way.

the interior is nice and the stereo is decent though!

It's like being back at my old job.... Nice purchase man!
The Nitro never really did much for me, the Liberty didn't do much either, this coming from a certified Chrysler Tech. Of the 2 the Nitro is the way to go, especially 6-speed (I know the Liberty comes 6-Speed). These things fit 20s too, LOL. You got the best color too, just be careful, it scratches real easy and be careful with the seats, some of the newer cars with the "stain resistant" material actually gets stained by the slightest things, like water... May sound like a BS story but we had a lot of comebacks over seats being stained from the rain to leaving a cold bottle of water on the seat on a hot day, did I get scolded for that one :nonono:

I like those. Nice buy. I see your road is finally all finished up too

i forgot about the wheels for the R/T, they come with 20"ers
so far no mechanical issues, it drives great.

joe..the road is far from done, that's just temporary paving....

I buddy got one of these. He has the SLT as well, but he has 20" wheels... I suppose it was an option as his is fully loaded with just about everything imaginable. Very nice ride, love the color.

nice find elky, but you mentioned getting the grill replaced under warranty???? what am i missing

It had a little damage, most likely from a careless lot attendant.

kim is mostly right.
:)
the grill has a nice rock chip in it, but it also has some pitting in the chrome so they are replacing it.
the lot jockey damage was actually done to the front bumper, but that is also getting fixed.

Ghost flames. Must have ghost flames. It is not an Elky Family car without them.

funny you should mention that...
the second day we owned it, Jess said, "this thing would look sick with ghost flames"

my response "don't tempt me..."
:D

A good friend of mine has one nearly identical...it's been in the shop a few time for shutting off intermittantly - no power at all. The black plastic strips running along the roof like to start peeling off by the windshield too.

It's a very nice truck otherwise, roomy & comfortable.

We have them in the UK now too, getting a big influx of cars from the states, quite like the look of it too.
