New wheels on my CTS-V

keep the tint off the tails and headlights. that way there is still a good bit of contrast. tho i do like my tinted tails....

anywho. i like the wheels. maybe if you took apart the headlights and painted the chrome pieces inside black it would give you more of a sinister look to the front. i agree on getting the grill a different color. i would say the outside in black with a dark gun metal for the interior of the grill. tint the windows if you must. but i would leave them how they are since it adds contrast. plus the ladies can see whos driving

Smoked tails amd headlight covers scream 80's, trust me, I was there:eek:

lol- I just think 'night-shades' on tails looks cheap... and on a car like that it's not necessary.. Maybe some clear sidemarkers on the front bumper or something, or leave them amber.. either way it looks good as is... maybe a bit lower :)

I am going to try to sand the paint off of these and see if I have that underneath. The Caddy center caps are an image under a thick layer of clear plastic, so I may be able to recover it. If not, I plan on just repainting the caps a higher gloss black and going the custom sticker route as someone here suggested. A matching V logo Like the one on my caliper would be cool.

the 05s never had the black. all they gpt was the wheel color ones. dad and i thought about that too. the 07s got the black centers...

Stock it has the silver center caps, but these are GM accessory wheels. I have seen them sold with three different kinds of center caps. The most popular ones I have seen packaged with them are the black ones in your link. I will sand these down and hope the black ones are underneath. If not, I'll just respray them black. I sure am not spending $100 on plastic center caps though.

thats was the second to best cheap mod we did to our V. next to the wing.

But its still the standard GM hard plastic that people complain about. Believe me I love the old and new CTS models but no one would climb into one and think it was equal with something German.

That's honestly the one thing that pushed me away from buying a CTS-V. The first time I sat in one, I just kinda looked around with a WTF?? look on my face. I couldn't believe a car that nice came with just cheap plastic door panels.

It was the same thing when my mother was looking at a VUE Redline we almost bought. That was at least a little expected being a Saturn, but Cadillac, not so much.

Hey Randy, just incase you were wondering about price, I just had Parkedcar make me some custom decals for the MINI and it cost me $35.00 shipped, so let your imagination run wild and come up with something to set those sweet ass wheels off:cool:
