official black svt thread!

I had a weird epiphany tonight.. I'm exiting the black-out crew :(

I'm gonna rip my headlight tint off.. build a lower set of eyelids this week and powdercoat my wheels silver this spring (sorry fuz!)
I think it'd be alright if the wheels were completely black.. but I've always wanted bright wheels on a black car. I don't like the silver lip around the anthracite spokes.

do ya like? :)

I'm keeping the blacked out rear end for sure. So many plans my head is spinning

I used http://www.rvinyl.com/ .. or there's lamin-x or other brands

it's basically just heavy-duty window tint. You lay it on wet and use a heat gun or hair dryer to stretch it on. Took us about 45 minutes/light and you can just peel it off if cops want to hassle you or if you get tired of it. Plus they'll reimburse you $20 if you send them high-res photos of the end result :)

CKTOUR! nooo this is gonna take a while to get used to. I loved the FSVT's.. and warmed up to the Enkei's.. but I'm not sure if I like those on your car yet :p

Lol, FSVTs look waaaay too small, and I didn't really dig the GF1s all that much. Honestly, these 19s look waaaaaay better in person, well at least everyone who's seen pics then saw it in person have said that. These things look awesome! Buuuut next year ill probably do nw wheels again haha

Keep in mind this is only cellphone quality pics too :)
 
Ok I posted pics of my 98 in this thread so here are some of my 99.....most of you have already seen these pics but I have to keep this thread going. They aren't calender pics but oh well. And yes I know my front mesh is broken in one of the pics.

I have to agree. The rims work with the car in person.

lol yeah i've been itching to do it for a while, originally planned on E55's but i'm going with a smaller 2.5" bixenon. Not what I wanted to do but the install should go real smooth, pics in a week or two

Just practicing on a spare headlight

my "project" lights were cracked during shipping so now I'll be attempting this on "my" headlights over the weekend. I really didn't want to mess with my perfect headlights :rolleyes:

Now I know why Pud makes custom shrouds, this was the smallest one you could buy and it's huge. Has a cool effect though (i'm not doing CCFL halos). I have some tricks up my sleeve as well, it'll look sick.
