Hmmm....some sort of a limited range transponder. When the radio is out of range of the transmitter...... **** BOOOOOM ****Too bad you can't trigger an explosive in the radio.
Ideally it should have about 30 seconds streaming video or multiple stills and transmitted to a remote and/or cell phone via media messaging or similar technology.
... I think Brapple was one of them that I spoke in depth with. ...
I would think a battery back-up inside the HU connected to a receiver and a trigger on the explosive. A low power transmitter in the car. When the radio is taken out of range of the transmitter, it triggers the explosive. I think the basic setup of something like that would be pretty straightforward. Now, finding/making a low-power explosive to use...I doubt that would be legal!Sure sounds nice though, and gives you a warm fuzzy feeling when you think of a thief losing a hand to something like this!
But you'd definitely want to remember to disarm it before disconnecting the power to work on your car!!!
no he said his HU has some sort of locking face plate that won't open if the unit is stolen, i wanna know how the HU would determine if it was actually stolen.
I don't know how or even if it works at all, just what I was told. Maybe it works on the same principle as the Eclipse HU's?
