Picked up a 2010 Speed 3

Rear Bumper Pics

Here are a some crappy phone camera pics that the salesman took for me. When I pick up the car tomorrow, I'll take some better pictures with my digital camera.

Great info, thanks. Took a test drive yesterday, should have the car by this weekend. Pretty excited, as this car has many of the things I wish the SVT had, such as LSD, HID lighting, and gobs of torque.

And I don't think the US cars get a powered drivers seat with 3 memory positions?

Nope, not even with the Tech Package........rear bumper looks good! I don't think the car gets this in Europe either. All the photos of the MSP with the painted bumper are pre-production.

Here is a pic from the UK site.

You can even see here they photoshopped the bumper red now in the same pic you posted.

Great information being provided, didn't know about the UK cars not having the darker lower valance.

Here are a couple of better pics of the rear bumper with painted valance. I didn't pick up the car because I noticed that the body shop didn't reinstall the bumper to my liking so it's still at the dealer. I'll pick it up tomorrow or Saturday.

I personally like the painted rear valance on the MS3!

Hey Derek I was meaning to mention this to you, you should see how much it would be to "cross the border" and have those seat heaters installed at the dealership or maybe getting the parts and doing it yourself, it may be something you can do yourself. Too bad you don't get the memory seats but then again who else is going to drive the car on a regular basis? I'm surprised they (Mazda) offer 3 memory positiions.

How about heated mirrors, does the Canadian MS3 offer that too?

Thanks, I'm getting lots of compliments about the painted valance. I was searching the internet today and found a video of another Ontario based 2010 MS3, white with painted valance. Darn, I wasn't the first one to do it. LOL.

I'm happy to have the memory seats because my daughter drives my car too, so she gets memory position 2. We still have a spare memory position, 3. I was not expecting the memory seat, actually wasn't expecting it to be a power seat either, but heck, it's a bonus that the driver's seat has both.

FYI, My MS3 has heated outside mirrors too.

I've always liked mazda 3s. What are your plans for this one?

I don't have a set plan yet, but items like intake, inlet pipe, downpipe, exhaust, Cobb access port, short shifter, sways and coilovers, are some items I'm considering. This car will be a "more daily driver" so I have to consider drive ability in this case.

Great pickup! I grabbed a black 2010 in March last year and am loving it. It's parked for the winter so this thread makes me really jealous. Still being patient on modding.. intake and RMM are at the top of my list.

I did get the window vent guards from a dealer in canada. For some reason american dealers cant sell them. Without the option for a sun roof, they are the next best thing. Though they might stick out like a sore thumb on a brighter colored car.

Enjoy it! I'll keep my eyes open for updates, I like what youve done with your other cars.

Thanks.

I do wish this car had a sunroof. That was one of the points that did not want me to buy, but after driving this car, I don't think I'll miss the sunroof. The vent guards, we can get through Weathertech if they carry them, or from the dealer as you noted. It's odd that US dealers can't sell them. They might look okay on mine since I have the windows tinted.

I'll definitely enjoy the car.

Very nice, I've always loved your cars. So jealous of the Contour. Drooling over the aftercooler. The Cobalt seems out of place when I look at them all together but thats just me, I'm not a Government Motors supporter.

Thank you. The Contour SVT is still one of my favourite cars.

The Cobalt is pretty much stock even to this day since the mods are not yet installed. It needs to be tinted, lowered and all the other typical mods added. Maybe because it's white that Cobalt doesn't fit in?

no, I like the white, now that you said that I realize it. Its cause of the mods. All your other cars are modded exactly as I would do them, the mazda 3 is great off the lot. So yeah tint and lower and a few other of your little touches and I know i'd be retracting my statement.

I should have more time to spend on the SS this year, as well as the MS3. Last year was a bust since I moved from one house to another. That took up a lot of my spare time and took a whole heap of $$$$ too. Stay tuned. :)
