One of your esteemed hardcore members has been pulling some pretty shady business, though I'm sure it will seem hard for some to believe. Here's the details.
I used to live with Shotwell, and while I was there, I cooked up an idea to stick a 6.8L triton V10 in my mustang. I took out a loan for the motor, which I'm still paying on, and mike and I found one near where his family lived. He agreed to take his vehicle to pick it up on the condition that I paid for gas, all was good.
Time and money constraints prevented this project from getting started, though I had already ordered a front suspension kit for this swap. I had just separated from the navy, and it was time for me to move. Shotwell said that I could keep my motor and K-member kit there until I could retrieve them.
I kept in contact with Shotwell, even though it was only me calling him. I hadn't been able to find work in my area, so I hadn't been able to rent a truck and drive it 2800 miles each way to pick these items up.
I got a phone call from a mutual friend several months ago letting me know that mike had sold the motor. I'm not mad about that, it was taking up space in his garage for a long time. But where was my phone call?
Since then, I've been trying to contact him, but all my phone calls have been ignored. I've emailed him, PM'd him on this forum where he is regularly active, and asked friends of his to pass the message along to contact me.
Shotwell, when you read this, as I'm sure you will, because I will PM you the link, as well as emailing it, you need to call and straighten this out. I'm not asking for everything you got for the motor. I was going to ask that you keep $500 for storing the motor and shipping cost on my K-member kit. I can't see that being an unreasonable request.
So here's the deal, call me, yesterday, or stop ignoring my calls, PMs and emails. I've been reasonable, I've been patient. I'm all out of reasons to be patient.
