One of your esteemed hardcore members has been pulling some pretty shady business, though I'm sure it will seem hard for some to believe. Here's the details.

I used to live with Shotwell, and while I was there, I cooked up an idea to stick a 6.8L triton V10 in my mustang. I took out a loan for the motor, which I'm still paying on, and mike and I found one near where his family lived. He agreed to take his vehicle to pick it up on the condition that I paid for gas, all was good.

Time and money constraints prevented this project from getting started, though I had already ordered a front suspension kit for this swap. I had just separated from the navy, and it was time for me to move. Shotwell said that I could keep my motor and K-member kit there until I could retrieve them.

I kept in contact with Shotwell, even though it was only me calling him. I hadn't been able to find work in my area, so I hadn't been able to rent a truck and drive it 2800 miles each way to pick these items up.

I got a phone call from a mutual friend several months ago letting me know that mike had sold the motor. I'm not mad about that, it was taking up space in his garage for a long time. But where was my phone call?

Since then, I've been trying to contact him, but all my phone calls have been ignored. I've emailed him, PM'd him on this forum where he is regularly active, and asked friends of his to pass the message along to contact me.

Shotwell, when you read this, as I'm sure you will, because I will PM you the link, as well as emailing it, you need to call and straighten this out. I'm not asking for everything you got for the motor. I was going to ask that you keep $500 for storing the motor and shipping cost on my K-member kit. I can't see that being an unreasonable request.

So here's the deal, call me, yesterday, or stop ignoring my calls, PMs and emails. I've been reasonable, I've been patient. I'm all out of reasons to be patient.

Talk about calling some one childish and asking them to grow up...

Exactly how long was it during which the motor was left sitting at Mike's? Come on, tell us. Make a further fool of yourself.

Have you researched what the standard is in Washington State for property being consider abandoned?

If you had a leg to stand on, you'd be bringing a legal action in a Washington State court. But since you do not, of course you're gonna resort to crybaby garbage like this.

By the way, TooLoud, if you want to debate any of this with me, bring it on.
We could do this in court if you'd prefer.
Venue and jurisdiction belong in Washington.
Please file and we'll party.
I'm a member of the Washington State Bar. How about you?

I think that you stirring the pot doesn't help the situation at hand... That being said I strongly feel that shotwell needs to handle this situation that has come about between him & TooLoud.

TooLoud, I while I don't like personal business being aired out on this site, I do understand the frustrations of not being able resolve issues when being ignored or having contact not be reciprocated. I do ask that you try not to muddy up other people's threads with your dispute and keep this civil and discontinue any sort of childish activities & name calling.

WorldTour, I follow your points. But...

Please consider this post an inadmissible offer of settlement per Washington Evidence Rule 408, in which both parties continue their separate ways and mutually release each others' claims with prejudice.

TooLoud started this thread, so it is fitting that he be told off in the same thread. TooLoud is doing this as guerrilla warfare. His legal position is a lost cause. He needs to consider that.

Should TooLoud not agree, the Washington State Court system is in place to decide all of his gripes. I am serious about inviting TooLoud to file suit in Washington, and yes, I will represent Mike in such action once it is filed. And until TooLoud takes me up on it, his PARTIAL litany of facts is just hot air. You've yet to hear Mike's side with the rest of the facts, so hold your horses on buying into TooLoud's self-serving rant.

I'm not looking to stir anything, and I will NOT try Mike's case on a car enthusiasts website. I'm instead looking to get a DEFINITIVE ruling from a REAL court. IF TooLoud IS indeed serious, he can file a real suit. And until Mike is in front of a real judge on a real case, I agree that Mike is VERY correct to hold his fire and keep his powder dry.

Is that clear enough and direct enough for everyone?
How about for you, TooLoud?
I'd love to depose you under oath.

In respects to Mark (WorldTour), to you, I apologize, this is, for lack of a better explanation, a desperate last attempt. To the rest who comment, sorry for my lack of concern.

If I thought there was a legal leg to stand on, I probably still would not have explored that avenue, I wouldn't want something like this to become a court issue. I still consider Mike to be a friend, and all I have ever asked for in this is a simple phone conversation.

That being said, if you're reading this to be a legal issue, then you've read too far into it. Yes, this is a last resort at getting ahold of shotwell. I've exhausted all other "civilized" means that I can think of. I'm not the type of person to ask someone that has no business knowing his address or phone number to contact him. I've sent messages, made phone calls, and left emails. Consider this to be childish if you like, but I suppose I've never been betrayed by a "friend" this way.

Again, I apologize to those that feel that this was the wrong way to approach this, but being in the situation that I'm in, I feel out of options. No, I have no legal recourse against Shotwell. I was very much hoping that this would at least prompt him to respond at least, so that this might be resolved.

Delete this if you must, but know that this goes unresolved.

S&!t happens, it's called life...... it wasn't even an SVT motor.... catch a bus and go talk to him nose to nose...

Take a breath....

sorry , but my wife says I'm cold and callas, and I hate to disappoint her!:nonono:

Why are some so nasty and disrespectful? TooLoud seems to be seeking resolution through simple dialogue. What's all this frivolous litigation nonsense? There's no need to go to court here. I believe WorldTour's recognition that this would be best resolved smoothly shows good judgment. Maybe if the two parties talk, they can sort everything out. Why some choose to make things diffifcult to no avail, I have no idea.

LOL is this where we all join in a group hug?

PDXSVT is just the kind of mouth piece I like.... Goes right for the jugular!
Hey if I buy you a brewski can we consider that a retainer? LOL

LauraSVT, you are absolutely correct, but this isn't the place for it.... this is about cars, and runs, and cars, and knowledge of cars, and cars, and meets, and cars, and not for what doesn't affect this group. IF he had sold something here and didn't send it off, or done something else wrong in this venue then yes tell everyone here what happened. Other than that work out your issues face to face and leave this place out of it.

Heck you don't even know the half of what may or may not have actually happened, or why, and I don't care to know.

Do you personally know either of these two? If you don't how is there any basis of fact? This fellow could be Shotwell's exbrother-in-law just posting stuff! and I don't even know if he has an exbrother-in-law.

Currently I have a charging system light on, on my Tour and that is way more important than this crap. Can I say crap on here? sorry .....

"That's all we got -- one goddamn hit?"
"You can't say goddamn on the air!"
"Don't worry, nobody's listening anyway."

Indeed, I don't know the specifics of the case, and I'm glad I don't. Simply, I thought the rebuttal was "a little harsh."

What part of my post didn't you understand? I don't care who's lawyer you are, you don't need to be in here stirring the pot because frankly I feel it makes a situation already bad even worse. There are times where you need swallow your opinion and not say anymore, after the site owners says you aren't helping the situation is one of those times.

You feel it makes a situation already bad even worse.
Excuse me, but you would need a good idea of what the situation really is, before reaching any accurate conclusions on that.
