How about replacement 2 bolt bushings... even with rubber? I'd hate to throw away your boxed a-arms when the bushings wear out again.
Scott: The 2 bolt bushings are a near impossible dilemma. The only thing I can think of is to replace them with more rubber. Ford should sell just the bushings but I guess they can make more $$$'s by forcing all of us to get complete A arm "assemblies".
It's a similiar situation when the bearings go, (and they do) in the serpentine belt idler pulley and serpentine belt tensioner. The idler pulley isn't too bad price-wise but the tensioner is ridiculous. Here, they charge $75 for the assembly and the bearing (from my supplier) is $7. The bearing for the idler pulley is less than half the pulley assembly cost but the pulley is made of plastic and molded around the bearing so you can't press it out. I made my own pulley out of AL and pressed in a new bearing. I ended up with a Cougar idler pulley and it was made of steel-not nearly as lightweight as the plastic 1.
