Strut brace is on

Front is plenty stiff already due to proximity to firewall.
Man has this question been beat to death over the years!

Primarily an appearance item - and lots of guys get PO'd when told this.

Before you ask, No, I have never installed on one of my cars. I trust my own engineering judgment with this backed up by the experience of a large number of really knowledgeable enthusiasts who have tried every type of suspension modification on road and on the track. I trust their assessments.

In contrast, the rear bar is a real improvement in every way. Truly noticeable in even slightly spirited driving. Definitely one of the first suspension mods I would do. It will even "cure" some of the annoying squeaks and groans from these 10+ year old flexing chassis.

The problem is finding a rear bar...

I really opened a can of worms here didnt I

Looks good mate, I was going to suggest switching your intake cupplers/hoses to red, that way the bar/filter and intake would then all match. but anyhow looks good.

reason Rawburt's saying it's "useless" is because on our cars (SVTs mostly?) the front strut bar does very little to nothing in improving handling, rear strut and sway bars really help out the most.

but that aside your engine bays looking really clean! keep up the good work! Any pics of the whole car ? i can't remember if i've seen it b4 or not

To be honest a lot of our roads in the UK, other than the main intercity motorways, can be narrow and twisty, and generally even standard suspension rates are set quite hard over here. I have two Mondies one a '98 Si which uses the standard spec gas shox with RS Pack Eibach -30mm springs, the other a '93 uses a Spax VSX kit with a 35mm drop, but this had a higher ride height than the other, so the ride height comes out the same now, but that one does have a Sparco strut brace fitted. In normal driving on main roads with smooth shallow bends there is nothing to choose betwen the two in respect of handling, however on sharp twisty bends on country roads etc the one with the strut brace is much sharper with a quicker turn in.
