Suspension Party the 24th @ Getsum111's

no bumper for me. but i did get my grill done and the mesh in the front bumper. also just orderd my ford racing shifter.. :)

How was the install? Did it go easy for you? Any tips?

Just remember, lots of cinders on the road now, plus the dreaded potholes are back. But yes, that road was MADE for SVT's.

Yes, be careful! I don't want to hear of any accidents.

only thing i can say is take your time. i will get some pics of it on the weekend at scotts house. i did all the cutting 1 day then went to bed. panited my oval the next day ( nice and black ) put on the 3 rd dayi was going to wait to put it on but i just could not

^ Thanks!
I figured your advice would be to "take your time".

looks like rain again tomorrow (thunderstorms :bah:) and sunny Sunday (typical)

Still on?

Scott, how big is your garage?

well i am just coming to hang out for a while and get some parts.. howlong you think it will tak eto get the springs off? i don't think the girl wants to hang out all day as it is are only day off.

meeting at 10am right? should I bring anything? I was going to wash the car but seeing as it's raining, I'm not going to worry about it.

Hey Scott, I was thinking that since I might be useless on a suspension install, that I would offer to wax someone's car with all of my usual wax goodies (Klasse and Pinnacle waxes). Although the weather isn't going to want me to do any waxing, If theres a garage open, I'd just need to wash it outside and then pull it in for the rest. And since you're hosting the "party" I am offering to do your car. Let me know if you'd be interested. I'll have everything with me in the car when I come down tomorrow so if you don't get this tonight I'll have the stuff anyways.

I want to be able to contribute something!

Ryan, you don't need to bring anything, just yourself. And you won't be useless, you'll be learning how to drop a contour.

Be careful, guys, it's really foggy down here.

I went 8 miles down the wrong road on the way back.... But it was the best 8 miles I have ever driven. That is probably the best driving road that I have ever been on. I'll probably be looking for an excuse to get "lost" on that road again

When I left, the suspension install was only on the second wheel... :( Hopefully It has gotten going again, although I did see the post in the suspension forum asking for help. good luck guys and it was fun hanging out and learning what a PITA it is to install Koni's

what time did you leave down there? i hope they got it done. i ended drivng up to sharron to eat dinne. about 30 min of slippery rock. i was just out having a good time with the 17's on. scott thanks for having us out again. had a good time hanging out. got my bumper. :) now for my duals

wow i didn't think it would take that long. i feel kinda bad. well it will be worth the wait once done.. so did u hear the cold start up rasp when we left today.

Yes, it got done. Just a tad longer than we planned. The third one was simple, the last put up a good fight, but in the end, Justin and I won. The exact time will remain a secret.

OMG, if all of them went together like the 3rd strut did, I think we could have a potential contender for beating Steeda and Todras for world record fastest suspension swaps :crazy:

It was cool meeting everyone. This was really my 1st "group" meet w/ ppl from CEG other that a few others that I had met up to buy or sell parts.

I really want to thank and give a hand to Scott again for his help. I'm a suspension noob and I know I wouldn't have been able to to do this w/out his help. Thanks a lot bud, I really appreciated it.

My pre-98 trunk w/ lip and exhaust seemed like a big hit. Also the rest of my "all my cool mods" - Scott. I think I had a few converts on the pre-98 trunk. Most ppl said that when looking at pics of the pre-98 weren't a big fan but after seeing one on my car in person they loved it.
