It's been a very sad week for me so far. Saturday night my neighbor slammed into the tour at the left rear bumper while it was parked... in my driveway!!! Apparently the rear frame rail was crushed, and the trunk floor buckled and split. The bumper was destroyed along with the side exhaust pipes also. The shiny frosting on the cake here is that the force of the impact pushed the contour into my wife's Taurus and busted the rear bumper up a bit along with the tours front bumper, and swung it out of the parking spot about six feet.

The real major question is... should I try to rebuild her? I have to face it that there is alot of internal damage here. I could buy it back from the insurance company and part it out, it's got 80k on the engine ( from a 99 cougar ) and 50k on a rebuilt tranny and new clutch. New suspension parts etc... i just put four grand plus into this vehicle in the last 18 months. It still runs and drives well, but with a busted frame rail, it's really not road worthy anymore.
Maybe I should look into finally getting an SVT model. Hmnnnnnn
