Used car finds

mmmmm
thats more my speed
Me, too! I'd drop a nice, built 351 in that puppy with a quick change out back and leave those sweet red steelies on there, maybe add some red pinstripes:drool: White pleather with red piping:drool:

Oh! And red fender headers!

And some old M&H slicks!

1988 Lincoln Mark VII LSC - $4500 (Broad Brook)

If you have been looking for a gorgeous, low mile, garaged Lincoln Mark VII LSC then you need to take a VERY close look at this 1988 gem. This car has only 56,600 original miles! You have got to see this one in person to believe how clean and well cared for it is, and you need to test drive it to feel how powerful and responsive it is.
The factory original paint has a nice deep shine with no dents, scrapes or fading. The chrome still shines and all the trim is in excellent condition.
The interior is near mint. There are no stains, rips or odors. This car comes from a non-smoking home. The front power leather seats show very little wear, are nice and soft, and have power lumbar support. The back seats are like new.
The keyless entry and the automatic trunk closing mechanisms work flawlessly.
This car is a pleasure to drive with no rattles or shakes. The powerful V-8 starts easily, accelerates quickly, and runs smoothly. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly. This is a classy car that has been well cared for and garaged (even at work). The oil has been changed regularly at approximately every 2,500 miles.
Best of all, this car takes REGULAR GAS! (The next model, the Mark VIII required premium gas.)
The original owner’s manual is already waiting in the glove compartment for the next owner. I will also include the receipts for the repairs that have been done since I’ve owned the car.
In all honesty I must disclose the few problems it has. The anti-lock brake system is not functioning, although the regular brakes work perfectly (the rotors were just turned at about 54,000 miles). The turn signal light switch does not turn off automatically; you need to do it manually.
These problems have not bothered me and the only reason that I am selling this beautiful car is that I have purchased another Mark VII with only 18,500 miles on it and there is no room for this car.
$4,500. Call Rich at 860-627-9916 or email at richard.lurie@cox.net for more pictures

I read that quickly as "wedding helmet" and wondered for a moment what that actually was. Now I got it -- you want to be like the guys in Gung Ho.

A nice Mark VI might be a nice present to congratulate yourself on the new gig.

Well done, man!

How bout taking the $ you would spend on the Mark VI and use it to resto the El Camino:shrug:

Only because the lyric, "I'm tellin' you son, you gonna drive me to drinkin' if you don't stop drivin' that hot...rod...Lincoln" doesn't work if you substitute "El Camino."

No... friggen...way

I was listening to that song this morning.

Those songs about Model As have a way of gettin around, eh? Almost like the cops want ahold of 'em or somethin'!
