What mods would you do to a 13,000 mile SVT?

I would just say go with the wheels and tires maybe an exhaust system and then refresh things as they wear out.

i would strip it down and paint it a different color and cut it up for air ride  but thats just me

a supercharger would be good for daily driven applications maybe 100 shot for the weekends
huge spoiler would set it off maybe a surfboard or a park bench would look good on the trunk

For Christ sake do not undercoat the car. Jeez that stuff is terrible. Your not driving a 70's rust bucket, you have a modern day car. Factory e-coat is better rust proofing than any aftermarket crap. The aftermarket crap is actualy more harmful than good. Will will also regret it if you ever have to work underneath the car. Nasty!

Lower it on new wheels. It's a waste of money modding these cars for power anyways

lightweight forged wheels plus Koni kit equals fun every drive. All other mods get boring after a while

The only other mod I would recommend is a Torsen LSD, and lightweight flywheel. The car is so much fun to drive with these mods. The only problem with these mods is that they are expensive unless you do the labor yourself.

All the other stuff gets boring quick: intake, exhaust, nitrous, tuning, and whatever else will just get boring with time. Mod the car where it matters, handling, the rest will never be good enough.

Torsen and Quaife make ATBs(automatic tourque bias) not LSDs(limit slip diff) no component slips!!Good Luck with the new ride!!

Thanks for all the suggestions everybody.
I just ordered a B&M and will order some Ford MTX fluid Monday.
Looks like I will have the car on Friday so I am pumped.

I need to look into it more before I actually do the undercoat.
I would have never considered it prior to my brother offering it for free.
Maybe it isn't a good idea after all, but I thought it would be good at least over the subframe connectors I plan on ordering Monday.

Whatever it is. Put the product made by torsen in your car and it will be more fun to drive.

Don't get your panties in a bunch over three letters.

Why the Torsen over the Quaife? I was trying to point out there is a difference between the two(LSD and ATB) and I didn't have to get personal to do it!! Since your trying to help spread knowledge to a common enthusiast tell me why the Torsen is better?the $50 difference?

No its not a good idea at all. Trust me if you can. Paint your subframe connectors with POR15, planning on doing this myself soon. Just don't get any on your hands :help:

OK, I spoke to my brother and he said we could do it and mask everything off well to avoid overspray.
What exactly is so bad about it?
I figured it would be good for the car before it ever goes through winter.
And the price is right.

Polyeurethane Roll Resistors
B&M short throw shifter
Focus RS shift knob
Eibach sportline springs (small subtle drop, looks good)
Focus SVT wheels
Borla Cat-Back (good luck finding that! ;) )
A cougar CAI (a real one not just a filter and maf adaptor)

WINTER FLOOR MATS!!!

its a shame to ruin such a low mileage example of a CSVT. but those are the things i would get. i love the way my car sits with the wheels and eibach springs. i suggest it to anyone that wants a cheap upgrade, without harming any camber adjustments (enough to notice it. they are the only springs that will support a drop on stock struts too, otherwise it'll blow them out)

also i love the B&M shifter and RS knob. its a nice touch.
