yup

Probably depends on the dealer and the person that asks. I've heard that some want a refundable deposit of $500 down before they let you test drive.

Prevents the hooligans from going out for a test drive.

My Mom picked up a 2010 Escape with the durtec the other day. That thing has a little bit of a kick in the pants!

I was thinking about getting an older Escape to replace my gf's Ranger, they seem to hold their value pretty well. I'd want something around 2003-2005ish with ~50k-80k but they're up around $10k still.

It is just weird to me that there is no power steering pump. It is such an easy vehicle to drive though. Comfortable, power, nice features. I was impressed. She was debating between that, a V8 exploder, and a mariner voga (?) edition.

They still have an electric assist so it isn't like the car has no power steering. Just another way to reduce engine drag and boost mpg I suppose. It's actually a pretty cool idea.

Yeah, that is what the salesman said. I just never really heard of it before....I am slow to keep up with all the new things if it doesn't pertain to me.

Waxed the Navigator today.

What's with the ugly silver car in the background?

I bet that took forever to wax though

It actually wasn't bad. It is at a nice height, you don't need to get down too much. I used Mcguires number 2 and then 26 (the yellow wax). With my brother helping me, we had it done in a half hour or so with both coats. All I can say is that the number 26 is the easiest stuff to apply and remove that I have ever used. You should have seen the swirl marks the thing had though. yikes.

Can you tell the power steering is different when you turn the wheel?

Nope. I was even kind of trying to see if I could too. It does feel a liiiiiiiitle loose at higher speeds, but I am thinking it is the craptastic OEM tires vs what I am used to.

Ha ha ha! I've driven way too many astro vans. My dad has had 3 of them which has used for his drywall business. Hauled a car back with one and the trans blew on the way home. Those AWD trans suck to replace. lol
