yup

So is the Cougar site down or does my work internet suck? No threads that I could see on CEG about it.

Anyway, I ordered a very nice exhaust for the S4 and it should be here Friday. Hopefully it sounds badass and gets me a few hp. Adding an exhaust, downpipes, and a ported intake to these cars gets them to 400hp. Seems crazy for an NA car.

As far as the Cougar. I mad a few changes to the engine mount the bracket bolts to so I've been working through a belt alignment issue. It's been a huge pain in the ass when it seems like it really shouldn't be. Blu Fuz sent me a SVT LIM which I plan on swapping in because I have a lopy idle that has been bugging me (gutted my stock LIM which might be the cause).

kewl. chris, i need a ride in the cougar, so get it back running right. i gota get some ambition to save money, pay off debt, and buy some kind of boost. i'm sick of being slow.

Anyone have an experience with magnesium intakes? The S4's intake is magnesium and some company is selling a ported version for $950. The kicker is the intake comes completely apart so it would be cake to do it by yourself. They even posted pictures of what they did to parts of the intake. Anyone know anything about porting magnesium? It is a soft metal like aluminum but I can't find anything online about it. The ported intake yielded 20whp so I figure it could be a fun project.

Exhaust is on the S4. Sounds like a V8 alright! I like the sound but coming from the S4 it's weird. If i go to the meet this coming weekend I'll probably take the S4. The Cougar is running with the SC but I want to switch from a shoulder bolt on the tensioner arm to a bearing which will reduce the slight side to side movement which cocks the tensioner pulley slightly under load creating belt tracking issues.

you can try a bearing instead of a shoulder bolt on a contour with a full 3L that has ace spades which i also bought from you and i know you don't remember but when i bought the spades you said you'd throw in a free supercharger kit and i have my voucher here in my hand and it hasn't showed up in the mail! :p

Liar!

I might be able to get the tensioner arm taken care of in the next day or too if the shop has some bearings that will work.

Nope, never tried snapple apple if I see it at the store next time I go maybe I'll grab one. :)

BTW I picked up the supercharger tensioner arm which I had a bearing pressed into and it works fantastic. Belt runs perfectly straight. One remaining issue is a lopey idle that has been driving me nuts for about a year. I think it might be a fuel issue. The wideband bounces from 14.7 to 16 when it's doing it. I need to get a fuel pressure gauge on there to check it out. Too bad my pressure gauge has a broken fitting...
