that is blackstang5.4's old car, that car IS NOT worth wut he's asking for it, the pics are very deceiving, it needs alot of body work and the guy is A d-bag, the car is good, blackcoog did the swap, and all that is good. but its worth maybe around 3,000 and thats what he paid for it and now he's trying to screw someone.

Sounds like it's mechanically solid. I wonder if the few things that Blackstang mentioned in the for sale ad are fixed?

The paint is pretty bad on the roof. I think all the clear coat peeled off. The swap is a full 3L swap which I did quite a few years back. The motor has always run great. I installed shocks a year or two ago and then we installed the cold air intake on it last year.
If you can do the cosmetic stuff for a good price, which it sounds like you could, the car seems to be a good find. In my opinion knowing the mechanical history is pretty huge with these swaps. I kind of feel like there's a little more room for error on these swaps than it might seem like on the surface. Sometimes reading the forums I get the impression that when people ask about a 3L swap they get the answer that it's a piece of cake, and sometimes the person answering is still working through a pile of issues on their own build. Anyways, I guess what I'm saying is that confidence in the swap is key when buying one that already has the 3L done.
That is why I didn't mind driving 18 hours to pick up the pudmobile or driving to the cities to pick up one done by blackcoog. I am just wondering about the LSD install and clutch...who would have done those and how long ago....and if they completely rebuilt the tranny or just fixed that needed it at the time. Knowing that livingsvt did the tranny in the pudmobile and he rebuilt everything was huge for me.
I am thinking my freind would fix the issues with it for $100 + cost of paint etc.
Trans installation
Here's some info on the trans swap. Sounds like it should be good.
Get up to 15 mph in first or second. Shift to 5th and hammer on the gas. If the RPMs go up faster than the mpg then it is slipping. At least that is what Ray said before
