yup

Looks pretty clean. however for a little less than a grand more I know where there is a SF with 3L, LSD ;)

 I'm listening......

Edit: EGADS! If you're talking about Jason's old car..... I think that one has been around the block a bit too much for me.. :p The reason I like that one on CL is because it's all stock and UNmolested. Hahaha!

On a lighter note.. I've been seeing more SVTs around here the last few weeks. I wonder if they all belong to the guy I talked to on here before. Saw a nice Silfro at LSC today. I'd really like to get an SVT but no one will sell any that are in decent shape. :(

Are you kidding me? There are tons for sale, one of them being mine. Open your eyes

Well.. I should say.. I'm trying to find a decent mostly stock one so I can start with a blank canvas. Also, preferably one that's not half a fortune. Ideally I'd like to find one that has a good body and a blown engine so I can have a 3L dropped in how I want it.

I'm exceptionally picky. :D

Edit: That's why that Silfro on CL is a winner. However I can't quite pick something up yet. Had planned on shopping for a couple months first. :/

Trust me, the pudmobile would be about 1000 times the car that the one on craigslist would be. He is asking about $1500 too much for one that has some body damage on it. The pudmobile has had 4 owners. All of them on here....and you know the history of the car.

Subaru has died twice since I bought it. Once due to the plug wires plus rain plus the ill fitting hood, second was a fried alternator... Going in tomorrow for some frame work, oil pan, and a few other things. I am enjoying the car when it runs though. And thanks FFE I will have to check that out.

Yeah, I am on MNsubaru as well from when we had our 99 Impreza Outback, 00 Legacy GT and 02 WRX. Good site. You will enjoy the Subby. The one thing I didn't like, was the AWD on the Legacy vs the Impreza. The extra weight on the Legacy made it have a tendency to want to spin around in snow since it didn't have Stability Control.

Actually blue book still puts it around 3k. Other than needing a new fender it doesn't have anything major wrong. The reason I'm heavily interested in it is because it's bone stock and in considerably good shape. I'd like to pick one like this up that I can DD until I decide exactly what I want to do for dropping a 3L in. I'd prefer starting with a blank canvas that I can make all the changes to myself that I am particular about. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with Pud's old car, I just would prefer starting completely from scratch. As I've said, I'm very particular.

Edit: Actually when it comes down to it, I'd prefer to get another Mystique like I've already had. Unfortunately, it seems as though they are more rare than an SVT these days. I haven't been able to find one like mine anywhere. At least one not rusted to pieces.

No one goes by KBB. And we all know the prices for these cars don't reflect their actual prices. NADA (most banks use this for car values for a loan) state the pudmobile is $4400. I will tell you this. Buying a car with the 3.0L already installed is vastly cheaper than installing one yourself...not only that but you really should upgrade the transmission, we all know how brittle the differentials are. Pud built the car right. It has a lower miles 3.0L, a tranny that shifts like butter and is flawless. I thought I was getting a deal on that other 3.0L that I bought....but the Pudmobile BLEW it away in every aspect. And that is why I sold the 2nd 3.0L...it just wasn't the same. Pudmobile is fine for a DD as well. Remove the d2's and get a set of konis and call it a day if the ride it too low (and for duluth, it might be) Honestly, if you want a decent stock SVT, I would just talk to blu_fuz and see what he can find for you.

Yah Tell me about it. The 05 likes to kick the ass end out every now and then :).

On these older Subarus with autos didn't they have a severe front wheel bias in the AWD system?
From what I understand is the 4EAT tranny has a 90/10 split up to a 50/50 split depending on what tire looses traction and what not.

In my case I have a 5EAT (available in the H6 and XT outbacks 05+), 45/50 bias up to 50/50.

edit.....

While I'm at it the manual system in these cars are a straight 50/50 split.

Driving my car onto the dusty frame rack today the front tires spun a good amount until the AWD actually "kicked in" then it went right up.

I've been going back and forth between picking up an SVT and getting a Ranger. I've wanted a decent Ranger for a long time. Ideally I'd like to pick up an FX4 Level II but they are insanely hard to find anymore. Too bad Ford didn't make more of them. :(
