Well it’s all done now, 4 days it took to get it right. The second pic is to see how well it matched up.

Ok so I moved to the subframe, knuckles and rack. I’ve wire brushed every bolt and cad painted them on every bolt. I also started making the harness.

Jumped the gun and ordered my big brakes… bmw e38 brembos with focus rs rotors I think 350mm, rear just gets drilled and slotted

Here’s some photos of how I can get the camber adjustment, all the rear arms are tubular now. Each arm has its own adjustable heim. I just ordered the shock tabs I’m going to weld in for the qa1 coilovers. And mind you these are 19’s! 9 inch wide I believe

Turbo pipes are ready to weld up aswell. Front manifold is done. I’ll have the rear manifold done next week!

The car needs a wash bad…. Little sneak peak with the intake just resting in there… going to be Finnishing up the rear suspension today, last shock mounts get welded in to the frame…

And yes I’m going to paint the intake manifold. Haven’t decided on green or silver. Wish I was determined enough to polish it…

Rear arms and subframe in, rest of the stuff should be in by today minus the springs… gotta pick wisely for spring rate… let’s not forget this things got qa1!!! the smudge on the paint is just tape residue

Congrats on the possible best built Contour ever!


I know you are building it for hardcore, that's why I would like to let you know EBC is not worth to be on this car.
I track regularly and host HPDE every month so I can tell you EBC is over-hyped by marketing. I see it melt, fade, and fail on track more than any brand. Regular track goer knows that EBC is the one to avoid.
I am sure there are many other brands that will fit that Brembo. I used Porterfield, and Hawk on my Focus RS Brembo brakes, and Wilwood on my Contour.
