finally an awd contour build

Congrats on the possible best built Contour ever!

I know you are building it for hardcore, that's why I would like to let you know EBC is not worth to be on this car.
I track regularly and host HPDE every month so I can tell you EBC is over-hyped by marketing. I see it melt, fade, and fail on track more than any brand. Regular track goer knows that EBC is the one to avoid.
I am sure there are many other brands that will fit that Brembo. I used Porterfield, and Hawk on my Focus RS Brembo brakes, and Wilwood on my Contour.
Thanks man! I contemplated hastily trying to get the car all assembled for my trip I’m on now but I will look into that when it comes time to learn the car on a track.

I should have got the focus rs brakes, didn’t study long enough. I may still get them and throw these other ones in the back

Focus RS brakes will be perfect, I own one and tracked it all the time. The brake was the most reliable thing (after you put high boiling point brake fluid) on that car haha. And the OEM pad is already semi-metallic (they used to be $150 a pair from the dealer).

Well I’ve ordered most of the turbo stuff,
Gt3582r, tial bov, turbosmart wastegate, mishimoto intercooler, all the rest of the exhaust pipes and intercooler pipes Iirc

Half of the stuff is here… I’ll be cutting and building the rest of the setup with these pipes D9AE7326-02F5-4DED-AF46-423D1375C20E.jpeg

Some pics of the dash setup, I may remove more material, but it is bolted in the factory holes. I need a Jaguar cluster to black out and mount the Haltech cluster. Still trying to find Jaguar X type sport carbon fiber dash trim..785B372A-FAD4-4FF8-A6BB-C5882DFB695D.jpegC8949FFB-18FF-4C37-A73B-293554BC98E1.jpeg

Ok gotta give my credit to the turbo kit makers of the day, even with nothing in my engine bay it’s still a tight squeeze🤣

Still doing my mock ups, I’m trying to get the hot stuff as far away from coolant lines and the intake pipe. The intercooler is in and plumbed. And yes I need to clean up the intake lolC34E19B7-942A-4AE2-B07A-EF017649E349.jpeg

Turbo is in, exhaust side is done, attached a picture of the jag dash and the Prius, contour hybrid steering column, seats in too, I copied the btcc mondeo and the seat is as far back as possible, steering column is extended at least 10 inches. It’s getting extremely close to first start, yes I have to complete the harness but in comparison to the entire project, I predict maybe 2 days of wiring.412D637C-986F-404F-AA23-416B216F0155.jpegD9B1CA66-C030-4C38-917D-73B8CB858A30.jpeg

It’s pretty crazy I ordered a brand new universal mishimoto and the intercooler came with the outdated logo🤨AB1236AE-59C2-4D77-9173-B46B4100697C.jpeg

Here’s another part of the goings, pre 98 fog light vents. The 98 and above are cheesy as hell, I junkyarded both sets to F with. (Satya said I should paint em black, what y’all think?) should I clean these up and give ‘em the tgreen? My brake ducts will run through the foglights just like the btcc mondeo (photo attached)CB25697F-E4CE-4B96-B197-7878F8F4784B.jpeg98C5F5DC-BD2E-436B-B804-7A92161DD3F5.jpeg
