so, as yuou know, i was hit by a deer last night, well, today, we got maybe an inch of snow, with solid ice under it. i was on my way to work and when i was going down the hill near my apartment, the car would not snlow down at all. i was going maybe 20 when i hit the brakes, the abs kicked in, and the car never slowed down it was so slick.

as i entered the intersection the crash was inevidible and i slid out in front of a 97 stratus. it hit on my drivers side (the other side from the deer) and destroyed the fender, door, the wheel is bent in, and the rear bumper som how broke

there is no question in my mind weather the car will eb totaled or not. and to think, i was planning on going home this weekend to get my snow tires :( v-rated ftl

do you guys know where the switch is to reset the fuel system, so i can start the car at least?

I hope its not totalled... But if it is make sure to buy it back and at least part it out, it was such a clean ride

fuel reset switch is in the driver side foot well, to the side closer to the fuse box.

noooooooooooooo! You just have not had any luck at all recently with that car. Going to keep it and part it out? (psssssst, I need some rear tires :) wanna trade some rims? ) Are you going to look for another SVT or just a new car in general?

my god man bad luck kicked your ass
sorry to hear it

wow, from one green svt owner to another, sorry about your luck. are those dunlop direzza's on your car? being a summer performance tire i bet those suck in the snow. i have those on my SVT and i like them, but fortunately my car never sees the snow.......or rain for that matter.

Man, that sucks. Hope you are okay. I hate deer. I've had too many close calls. It might not be totaled, but I could be wrong. Sorry to hear that.

seeing all these green svt's is making me want to rebuild mine and baby it for the rest of my life lol... im sorry about what happen luck wasnt on your side this time i guess

I would assume he is doing donuts in snow with the Fiero to let out some frustration.

dont tempt me!

i am doing alright, my shoulder is a little sore. if it is still sore in a couple days i'll get it checked out. ive been on the phone all morning with the insurance company and early next week someone will be coming out to look at the car. then i get to start the argument with what the value of the car is. i'll put up a good fight, thats for sure. i have no problem arguing the vaue of the car.

the are direzza's on the car, and i was going to to the twin cities this weekend to get my blizzaks! ugh.

talk about a 1 - 2 punch.

right now i am stuck in my apartment since if there is any snow/ice on the roads the fiero isnt going anywhere. i hope that they are just wet soon so i can go to the twin cities with the car and pick up one of my parents cars (they are too kind). we'll see if that even happens though.

thanks for all the kind comments guys

fiance said that the roads were fine around noon today. so with all the traffic you guys have down there i would assume the same thing....but take the other car out at your own risk :) I would think you should be able to get at least $5K for it. Actually I just did a KBB thing on it and they came up with a retail of $6,900 for it.

Wow man - that sucks. I hope you turn out ok. I do some freaky driving this morning in my terrible tires in the snow... I almost went into a ditch at snail speeds. If you hit any more deer, you may need to get hunting tags for your car

wow, from one green svt owner to another, sorry about your luck.

I really hate to see posts like this. The car is rare enough as it is, then the green ones are even rarer. It makes me sick to see another one gone. Sorry, man, hopefully you'll be able to keep it and get it fixed.

Glad to hear your ok. Hope they don't total, or if they do perhaps you can rebuild it. We need to keep the T-Greens on the road!!!

Deer suck, a friends dad had a 96 GL, used to drive about 65 miles (one way) to work every day, had like 5 deer run into the side of it...

From one t-green owner to another....and another.....and another!

I am glad you came out of this ok. My car was hit in just that same spot last August, did almost $3500 in damage and bent the frame behind the door. Popped the door open EXACTLY how yours is...only about five more inches!! And they didn't total it either, but it took a super long time to get it back. I really hope they can fix yours, like everyone else has said it's such a shame to see the t-greens being damaged. Mine has almost 147K on it, and sadly it shows :(

Why can't it ever be the black or silver ones??? LOL (just kidding!!!!)
