I changed the title for you.
I also PM'd 1314 letting him know that I made the change.

Thanks luca and for you doing this. I present to you a.......

Thank you for changing the title and cleaning things up. I honestly do not know if our SHO Source LIMs will be the same spec as SHO Shop, as I have not seen a SHO Shop LIM in person. I do know our Big Bore Butterflies for the V6 SHO are different than the design by SHO Shop, as ours have full size custom stainless steel butterfly plates instead of using the stock plates and modifying the stops to close them further.

In any case, I am glad to be here. Although we are starting with the LIM GB, we are willing to make other custom parts. We can also get many parts brands and can add a Contour section to our site to hep support you guys. Just let us know.

Thanks again for the warm welcome.

Mike

I got my star back.

Glad to help.

Mike, thank you for helping out the CEG community. We appreciate all you are doing for us.

I think most of the questions have been answered by Bill, but if you have any other questions, let me know. We are also working on adding more Contour items like suspension parts, MAFs, and any other parts you may want, but first thing first on this LIM GB.

Mike - Do you have an answer on the gasket question? Also will we be receiving the same LIM we send in back? Should we stampt them with our initials or something? Please let me know.

Is there a possibility of doing a port matched UIM as well?

Thanks!

From the looks of the post on Pg 5 by Beans, the FelPro gasket works for sure on the secondary, but the primary might be right on the edge. Since I don't have a Contour at the house right now, so someone else will have to look at the ports on the head. The gasket should have a larger opening than the head port, so you may actually have a step down between the LIM and the head. There may be an opportunity to carefully port match the head a bit, but we are getting into more delicate proceedures worthy of its own thread. If you do port match the heads and the gasket on the primary are still a little small, I recommend carefully trimming the gasket.

We do plan to send you your own LIMs back. We tag the parts as we recieve them so we can track owners. As part of our instructions, we will have you mark your own LIMs with tape or a tag as a double check until our tag gets attached.

If people are interested in port matching UIMs, you can check out our services like this one.

If there is an interest, we can work with you guys to decide the level of work needed and add a new Contour product to our site.

Does this answer all your questions?

Mike

Yes it does. Thank you for the reponse.

I plan on submitting payment on their website tonight. You slackers had better be right behind me.

Is anyone even going to jump in on this? I feel terrible if I wasted their time!!

Well I'm on the fence...

I have a spare LIM, but boring out the LIM is not going to do me any bit of good unless I have matching bores on the heads and UIM... which I do not have spares of. I'd feel better about investing my money if I knew I would be able to get my heads and UIM port matched...

I should be putting my car in storage within the next couple of weeks. Ill be sending my UIM off to Extrude Hone (thanks SZ raffle!!!) then....might as well pull the LIM and send it out too. Should be a nice addition.

I picked up an Extrude Hone upper last year so I'm thinking about this, but I still want to see also like you guys are saying about port matching everything.

wouldn't you port match the upper to the bored out lower before having the upper honed ?...G.

Doesn't matter, i have a EH UIM and it looks like a drunk with a porting bit did the main ports.

I have three SHOs with EH intakes and all are different. The EH process smoothed them out, but followed the castings. One was perfect. The other had casting flaws, so now I have SMOOTH casting flaws on that one.

If I had it to do over, I would hand port match and clean up the intake first, then send it to EH for them to do their magic. If you do not want to do your own hand porting, we could set up a product for Contour UIM hand porting. It would be similar in technique to the V8 ones we do here

Since these are done one at a time, we do not need a group buy, we just need to have our porter give us a cost estimate for the work.

Thanks again guys.

Mike

So what is everyone waiting on to get in on this GB? Are there still unanswered questions? One I know of that I still haven't seen a picture of is the gasket over both primary and secondary ports on the intake.

Beans where you able to get that picture for us yet? I suppose it's already installed on the car... Let us know.

Could you give us a rough estimate on hand porting?
