pic says it all

question...if the rust converting primer spray isn't high heat, then won't that fail first, making the rest of the high temp primer and paint moot?

yeah it might and I realize that. This is just for now as I will most likely have eveyrthing coated over the winter.

Brian, what does the fluid coming out of the trans smell like?

For what its worth, my clutch did all of the above and I hated every minute of it. When it comes back out ill be replacing it. Did you go with a 3+ or a regular 3

not sure but it is definately oil.

I went with the stage 3+. its getting better, I think that is fully broken in now also.

Deff. motor oil? or deff. an oil of some kind?

When I installed the 3l the first time, the new slave was leaking out of the trans and was screwing everything up. You can tell that fluid because it smells significantly different. If you need you can crack the brake fluid resevoir and take a whiff.

If its motor oil leaking down the back side, take a look at the plugs that are located behind the DPFE sensor bracket. I had one that was loose and would leak when the car was running.

well things are starting to come together. I have a new crank seal and axle seals to install as well as new axles this Friday. I also got a new tensioner because the belt sometimes slips and the belt isn't that old either.

I have the install kit needed on the way so I can install my walbro fuel pump. Along with that NPG has gotten me my base tune. So once the fuel pump is in I will swap injectors and the maf and tune the car.

I also did some assembly tonight to see how everything fits together ...

I just read through 15 pages of OMG, HOLY CRAP, WTF, NICE JOB!!! goodness. Well, actually it was more of 8 pages cuz I saw the first post when Brian said he got the turbo haha but definitely nice work Brian. I'll have to come crash one your meets just to check out everything once it's all put in =)

well yesterday afternoon Greg and I replaced the axle seals, crank seal, accessory belt tensioner and axles. Everything went very smoothly and it appears as of this morning that the oil leaks have been taken care of. There was only one tiny little spot under the car this morning. So once I get my maf confusion figured out I will be installing the turbo. Hopefully in time for SZ

well if its not one thing its something else .... I had the half shaft pull out of the trans after the nuts reatining it to the bracket came off. This caused a lose of power and mtx fluid. after a number of calls and about an hours worth of time I was back on the road from the side of the highway.

much thanks to everyone that helped me out yesterday morning, it really is greatly appreciated.

So i will doulbe check for leaks again today and if all is good I need to find a 80mm maf and then I will be swapping out to the 80mm maf, 42# injectors and the 255 lph walbri fuel pump with NPG tune as prep for the turbo install.

So I was just getting comfortable with taking this car to SZ but I maybe back to taking the SVT now

ok, looks like I will be starting my install this weekend.

First up is the installation of the walbro fuel pump, 42# injectors and 80mm maf (which I will get tomorrow). I will also have the NGK TR6 spark plugs to install.

Once everything is running correctly I will either work on the hot side piping, tubro oil feeds, the intercooler or installing and wiring up the turbo timer and LC-1 wideband controller.

Woot woot. I love turbo timers and the look on peoples faces when you lock the car and walk away.

got a few things done tonight. First I drained and refilled the mtx with Ford "Honey" again. Next I went about mounting the FMIC onto the car. I also received my NGK TR6 sparkplugs today. Also thanks to ctmystique my NPG brake kits brakets are now powdercoated and ready to install.

Needless to say I have alot of work I want to do this weekend.

If you get it all buttoned up by Monday afternoon, bring it up here for a few...

Casey is supposed to be here all day Monday working on the paint again...
