Picked up a 2010 Speed 3

I drove a new 3 sedan the other day. Very nice car for the price. the 2.5 I4 6 spd MTX was pretty peppy. Very nice interior. I really liked the seats but I doubt larger drivers would be comfortable for long.
I was however, very disappointed with the steering and the stick/clutch. They were completely without feeling. Curious if they did anything about that in the speed?

Check out the twm complete shifter replacement. Besides bushings, and a rmm, making the stock shifter feel better won't really happen. I slapped on about 4 mods the day after changing the dealer oil out at 1k. I've never had a single issue with the speed and it's at 40k already with a bunch of mods. Here's a sig I made but it's missing some mods. The speed3 is quick stock but you'll soon see what it does to the top of 2nd into 3rd with some nice mods. It'll will rip gravel out of the asphalt. Nice grab :)

In my short experience with the MS3 and have driven the regular 3, it's a different car in the way the MS3 feels and drives. The transmission is different, the clutch is different, lots of suspension and drivetrain bits are different, in short, they really feel different from each other.

I do want to change the shifter because it's too long a throw for me and the shifter is a little too tall in the centre console. Hello TWM. :)

I haven't posted here in a bit, but my MS3 got some new shoes.

The wheels are Konig Deceptions wrapped with Bridgestone RE760 Tires.

Looks good, but what did you do with the stockers? I have to say that the Mazdaspeed3 wheels are some of the sharpest looking OEM wheels Mazda has.

I like the stock wheels, but I wanted to try something a little different. I have the stock wheels on a tire stand, I'm putting out interest threads to see if anyone wants to by the wheels/tires. They only have 300 miles on them.

Ohhhh man! The shinari concept one looks awesome!! The first one is alright. Kind of like the CRZ. Anyways I just started doing my 50k service on my MS3. It has needed nothing but gas and tires. If you get a Cobb take it to a shop for a tune, you won't regret it. However word is the hypertech tune has been released for 2nd gen. I've been running that tune for 32k now. I like it, besides my wife drives it to work. Anyways don't take all the cats out without a tune. I wouldn't run a catless downpipe because of the turbo seals. Although the problem has only gotten less common. Especially after 08.5. The ms3 is the 73rd car I've ever owned and the 5th that was brand new. It has been great. I want your tranny. It's geared much nicer I think.

I'm keeping this car, like with all my cars, smog legal. I don't see any value in taking the cat out, to make barely any extra power (in this power range), especially for the hassle of tuning for no cat, screwing up the turbo seals and worst of all, the exhaust smell with no cats. I am in total agreement with you.

Wow, you're up to 73 cars. I thought I went through a lot when I counted 29 up to this point in my life.

So far so good with the MS3, I'm really liking it. :)

This is my girlfriends '08 MS3 GT that we just put new wheels on. The wheels are Kazera KZ-J mounted on the original Bridgestone Potenza's.

Nice ride. :)

One of my former business acquaintances had a red 07 MS3 with wheels similar to yours. Having rode in this car in the past, was one of the reasons that I chose to go with an MS3. It was a very good influence.

Chris, those wheels look amazing, really sharp. Go here www.motorcitygraffics.com for some custom, acrylic domed centercap decals for it with the Mazda badge, that silver Konig logo just stands out to much IMO. I have Konig's too and did custom Honda ones for my car from him, $25.00! All the mods you wanna do.....DO IT! Hectour has 65k on his car with some mods and NO problems!

Thanks, I'm glad I made a last second change to go with the Konigs. I'll check out that website, maybe I will get some Mazda emblems. :)

I'm going to be modding the MS3, but will be mild and just bolt ons.
