Anyone have a sun roof gear? Mine bound up, so I took everything apart and mistakenly took the motor apart. Put it together and it opened and then stripped ;(

Google is your friend

I didn't feel like highlighting, hitting cntl c, newtab, google, cntrl v, search, open link. So much easier to make you do it. Besides, if would have looked up pics of Shakira instead somehow.

Picked it up for $1,500. Its my first bike so I figured I could ride it for a season or two. Digital speedo, analog tach. Projector headlights. Plus its built on the same frame as the 600 so it doesnt look so... sissy?

So I've been plagued recently with car work on a 3L SVT I built for a step-brother in-law a few years ago. I had to drive out and help him on the side of 94 a few weeks ago. His fuel line came off the filter. Either the clip came out or the previous owner never put a clip to hold the line on so that was an easy fix. They put a new filter on there and since then the car has been idling rough (drops down in the 400-500 range) and stalling occasionally. They verified the filter is on correctly and even put another new one in there. I told them to get a new IAC. Seemed to fix it for a bit but then it came back. Then I pulled the codes even though the light wasn't on and came up with 7 codes pointing at both upper O2's being bad. I replaced those and that didn't fix it. I told them to get some new plugs and wires in there now that the O2's are known to be good. They said they might bring it to a shop. How about flipping me some cash, food or beer. I'm family and all but come on I've worked on the damn thing for quite a few hours now. I have my own car stuff to work on that I can't get to any more.

Another gripe... I keep telling them that if they buy anything for the car or have it taken to a shop that they should tell them it's a stock 2.5L, as it's a ported 3L with 2.5L intakes. They to go buy parts and tell the counter guy it's a custom 3L install. Yeah... that will help you get your parts. OMG.... lol

Oh man! :troutslap:

Hey Chris, you get the 01-02 Cougar wheel & airbag I sent you yet? Are you going to replace the Cougar emblem with something custom or keep it as is?

AAAAGGGGGGGG SOOOOOO F****** PI********

So the guy on CL decided to be a Douche and didn't deliever said bumper to the body shop (as he agreed to aparently) Now the body shop cant get ahold of him. Progressive dude said it could come down to them A. We come to some agreement on cash settlement B. They total the car at which point I would by back, but obviously don't want that on the title.

So here it is what should I ask for in a settlement considering I would then be on the look out for a SVT bumper and paint on my own time?

Now that I look back at it I should have bought Sprebound SVT, It was SF, it was literally 5 min drive (who knew we lived so close), and at the time around 900 out of pocket. And a perfect winter car.

Well that there is your problem...

Installed my hiem joint sway links from the bushing-less stockers and damn this car got tight. Sits a little high, but at least it isn't chewing up expensive z rated 18" tires anymore...

Not only was the spring broken, it wasn't even a SVT strut like the other side of the car, it leaked all the oil out and collected all sorts of scummy road debris..

I hear of those springs breaking all the time but I've never seen one on any car I've worked on. I have lots of issues chewing up tires in my Cougar in the front but new LCA's seemed to really help. Odd the struts were different. More than likely the old one in the spot blew and a shop or someone replaced it not knowing the SVT was different than the normal Contour.

Oh oh oh, I will buy it back!

I'm sure you would... but would you turn around and sell it in a couple of months ;)

Any way tks to blu_fuz I may have a bumper. Crosses fingers.

Odds are I would actually keep it for a while. I miss it too much to let it go again :(
