yup

They are sitting in his garage. I'm kind of lending him my 19's so I don't think he's selling the ASA's. The ASA's do have brand new tires on them and they are in pretty good shape so we'd want to get a good amount for them. Pm me if your interested.

I would say gifted!

So whatcha doing with those AR1s?

Yeah they are sitting in my garage along with two other sets of rims. The ASA's are in good shape and have about 2000 miles on summer Nitogens I have on them. Curb rash on two of them (one of them was because of the idiot that put the tires on :nonono:). Just look in my profile and look at the most recent thread of my car which was awhile back to see what they look like.

Just curious if you were actually selling them. I just bought my EAPs a couple summers ago, so I shouldn't be thinking about these, but they really are my favorites. I've never seen them on TRed before either.

No one on here, he's SUPPOSED to email me dyno shdet and video of the drag strip tomorrow.

I am going to try and get out there. I bought a new bait cast real in November that I really want to try out. Only thing is, my wifes sister had to ruin everyones plans this weekend. :p She decided that saturday was a good day to have a surprise 30th b-day party for her husband and have their new babys baptism on sunday to go along with mothers day. Thanks a lot....But there is free food, so I guess that is a bonus. I wanted to go trolling in the new 20' foot pontoon her parents bought. :(

Lost my favorite/newest bait caster rig during a fishing contest Saturday :( I was pretty bummed about it all day. Snagged some d00d's line in another boat and in the fuss of getting rid of the tangle while two boats were drifting apart I didn't notice where I was setting it down. When I fixed the tangle and let go of the line I noticed the pole wasn't in the boat

I went out and got a similar one Saturday night (nothing special, just a $60 rig like the other one), but it's not the same. At least I managed to win a $15 Fleet farm gift card for largest northern in the contest.

I am not liking my bait caster....I can't cast at all with it. either it goes out like 15 feet or I the spool feeding back on itself causing a tangle.

Duh... I hate casting with them, but they are so nice for trolling/lindy rigging.

I use spin reels for casting, but don't care for them while lindy rigging since it's so much more screwing around to go up or down a foot when the depth changes. Lindy rigging makes up about 90% of the summer fishing we do...

When I did use it for trolling earlier this year, I did like the power that it had for when I was reeling it in. I was using a Zebco Z03 for most of my fishing duties. It is a closed faced real, but a really nice one....only issue is it lacks in power when I am fishing for northerns. Most of the fishing I do is off the dock. It is in a perfect place for bass, between the two docks there is a weed bed that they sit in. I just cast out in front of it and they come out. The other fishing we do is up on pelican and most of that is trolling for northerns. I am wondering if some of my issues with the baitcast is the line. I bought a braided line that was about 3 lbs too heavy for what the reel was intended. Should I just swap it out for a good mono?

It could be, I know there are some lines that are not recommended for casting. All I ever use is mono, but I don't really fish for Northerns on purpose (do catch them by luck occasionally).

I've had issues with mono for my baitcaster too, I'd go to Gander or your local fishing store and have them spool it with a good baitcasting line. Spyderwire is one of my favorites. You'll still get some backlash but not nearly as much. I've actually do love my baitcasting rig, it's fairly cheapo shimano compact baitcaster with a nice Cabelas rod. Getting the drag set just right makes a huge difference on not getting back lash too. With my set up I can cast quite a bit farther than I ever could with my spincasters.

oh and
YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!

I need to get out fishing this year. I just picked up a nice light rod for my spinner reel. My bait caster was busted up for a while but I bought a new real for that last year with some spiderwire line and that has been nice pretty happy with the setup. Finally bought a trout stamp for this year too as I found out they have a nice stocked lake over in the Coon Rapids Regional Park. Who knows maybe I'll get back in to fly fishing too... been a while since I tied some flies.

yup, yup, and more yup!
