My list

1st Car: 1983 or 84' (can't remember) Honda Accord, 5-speed, Carburated 4 Banger, was a beast, took a beating and never complained
Picture not of my car, Mine was Dark blue and didn't have fogs, Car ended it's life when a woman in a Suzuki Samuri T-Boned me!

2nd Car: 1989 Chevrolet Berreta 2.slow, Automatic... Car was a total TURD, un-knowingly bought with a warped head, sold it for $800 bout 6 moths later, Then 2 weeks later saw it on the side of the road for sale for $1000
Not actual car, mine was two-toned, Black on Grey.

3rd Car: 1995 Nissan 240sx "SE" Automatic, Every option except leather, was a beast. loved this car to death, very rare to find in such good condition, wanted a manual, but couldn't find one as nice as this so i jumped on it... Ended up wrapping it around a tree on wet pavement
(i plan on buying another as my "project car" within the next 12 months)
Picture of identical car, except mine was black, and tinted windows.

4th Car: 2000 Saturn L300, 3.0 V6, power/heated seats, sunroof, leather, traction control, etc... Very comftorale car, and very quick! suprisingly fast actually... never had 1 issue with the car, eventually put some 17x8" wheels on it, and would buy another! ended up giving it back to the bank, due to an injury i couldn't work, hence no money to continue payments

5th "Car": 1999 Dodge Dakota SLT, 3.9 v6, Auto, Towing packager, etc...
Bought this truck from my grandma and had the intentions to bag it, and put some 18 or 20's on it, but didn't want to put any more money into it then i already did, and ended up trading straight across with a guy, for my CSVT

PHEW! that's about it... I did however leave out my 1998 Jeep Wrangler 4.0, before i got car #4... i only "had" it for 2 months... i say "had" because the entire 2 months i "had" it, the dealership was trying to get me financed for it! , ended up, that at that time, i wasn't making enough $ and didnt have good enough credit to finance the beast. So i cancelled the insurance and gave it back! Had a blast in it, went offroading at least twice a week. Was Dark Aubern in the dark and Burnt/Rust orange in the sun, with Tan interior/soft top. had a 4" suspension lift, 16" american racing wheels, and 33" BFG's... very nice. too bad i wasn't richer, i'd buy another one strictly for weekend off-road adventures!

91 Ford Escort GT. Great car and I miss it very much. Never had any problems with it even with it close to 180k miles. I hated Fords until I got this car.

It got killed by someone that t-boned the mess out of me.

My first car, a 1992 Tempo GL MTX, bought it for $1200 in 2002 with 115 000km on it. It was rusted, the paint was faded, had to put new shocks and brakes on it and polish the paint, but it was overall a very reliable daily driver, it would start below -30C, and it was soo cheap to fix!

TempoCtDroit.jpg

Sold it in 2004 for 800$ to a friend after I saw this for sale :

Topaz.jpg

A very nice, low milleage 94 Topaz GS V6, MTX! Got it for $2700 with 103 000km with a new paint job, remote start and a spotless interior. No rust and a much more preppy 3.0 Vulcan which surprisingly got better gas milleage on the road than the Tempo (even got 43mpg one time, normally over 38mpg easily, Canadian mpg tho heh). I loved that car, it was really fun to drive, and I even got the AC to work, but then after two years, the head gasket failed, and while the car was in the shop, I bought back my mom' Mystique and sold the Topaz.

First car was an '81 Camaro Berlinetta, last of the 2nd generation. It had a transplanted 1970 350, with 4 bolt mains, and a TH350 trans. It came to me as a 2bbl, single exhaust. When it passed away, it had the de'riguer Holly 650, Edelbrock Performer, Crane cam with roller tip lifters, Heddman Headers with glasspacks, B&M shift kit and Megashifter, and Black and Chrome wheels from Sears.

Never Dynoed it, but I'd guess about 300 hp, maybe a bit less. God, I miss that car, it's what I first learned to work on cars on. Plus, due to me never modding the susp, it would smoke tires at will. Torque FTW!!

My very first car was a 1969 Pontiac Firebird I bought from my GF's father. It had 95k on it. A OHC six and a four speed. Puke green inside and out. That thing would power-slide like nothing else.

Some of you had sweet first cars. Mine was a 1984 'Vette.

As in Chevette:

Mine was grey/grey, I4, Auto. It was fun in winter as it was rwd.

^That made me laugh, Trapps. Some of you all did have some very sweet cars indeed. GTO's, 1st gen Firebirds, Cuda's, and SVT's.

My daughter's first car:

Price was right at $175.

Oh my, the cars I've had

Oh my, the cars I've had

OK, most of these aren't the actual cars

My first was a 1987 Acura Integra in Champagne beige (read gold) with an ATX. Named this one Baby, or the Rust Rocket. Serious body rot in this one.

acura.jpg

Then came a 1985 Nissan 300zx, 5 speed, naturally aspirated. No leather so no digital dash with intermittent gauges :D Mine was blue/black metallic with silver rockers. This was called Dear, or the New Rust Rocket -- seriouser body rot in this one.

84-300zx.jpg

Then came the Big Dog -- 1989 Ford Thunderbird Supercoupe, 5-speed. I had the anniversary paint job like this one, but mine wasn't an anniversary model, and didn't have the black rims. I had the pimp burgundy interior as well.

Then we come to the SVT. I still own it, and plan to start restoring it this summer. I just can't let this one go for some reason.

SVT2.jpg

This one came to me after my dad passed away. I can't let this one go yet because of the connection to my dad. Currently, it is my cottage hauler (and looks bettert hen in these pics). We call it the Big Ugly. 351 cubic inches of carbureted power (or lack thereof)!

IMG_0021.jpg

Then there is my current daily ride, a 97 BMW 540I. I have toyed with calling it the Hulk, or the Green Meanie, but it is simply the Bimmer. Six speed, V8, and green all over!

RESTORE IT!!! DO ITTT!!!

mine was a 1991 honda civic DX with a 1.5L SOHC and an auto.

i had it lowered about three inches, had some white 8 spoke 17" wheels on it. also had a CRX si front lip on it, was pretty sick. it was a dark metallic grey color and had a primered hood. looked pretty sharp actually, and got 38 mpg. i could rev it to 7k rpms in neutral at about 20 and drop it into "2" on teh shifter and get rubber. it never slipped or anything. i don't know how that transmission managed. i neutral dropped it, reverse to drive dropped it, all of that. it wouldnt die! the engine finally blew after i put a new head on it and the timing belt slipped a tooth and started knocking. got more for her dead than i paid for her and i put over 200k on it!

i'm looking for pictures i'll see what i can get from my buddy.

1st car: Midnight Blue 1999 Ford Taurus SE w/ 3.0 Duratec (took my road test in it, then totaled it... the ticket finally came off my insurance:))

2nd car: 1994 Ford Taurus GL in Indigo Blue (no pic, either...). I hit four deer, a ditch and a tree with that car before my sister took it and an F-250 took the front end off in a parking lot.

3rd car: 1994 Ford Taurus GL in Moonlight Blue... I have a pic of this one, haha.

Good car. I drove it during my internship (lots of country roads through the backwoods of Pennsylvania). Handled well, but I think my Merc' would have been better on those roads. Mom drives it now for her seamstress business.

If I have to get another car, and I end up finding somebody to get married to and have babies with (and a need for a bigger car), I'll go back to Tauruses, prolly a 2000 with disc breaks or a Fusion/Milan. Until then, I'll stick with my Merc' and maybe pick up a late MN-12 Cougar as a project/cruiser.

I have had some work done, and I buffed out the hood, but it needs a lot, and the car is worth maybe $1000. SVT first, then we'll see.

Actually, BMW minor repairs ( ) then SVT, then wagon.

Actually, home repairs, then BMW, then SVT, then wagon.

Etc., etc., ad nauseum.
