I am buying mirko splitter mold

id be interested in getting it and having them made out of the polyplastybend material. ive been PMing doc about this. i have the company to do it. theyre here in So Cal. i posted a thread about having these made a few months back. just didnt seem like enough interest :shrug:

ill see what my connection/guy is talking about if we produce the mold. before, we were going to have to have one made which would cost a few grand. this greatly simplifies things AND we could resell them for less since we wouldnt have to recoup the cost of the mold.

doc, did you say mirko would not be willing to ship this thing? you HAVE to pick it up in person?

He MIGHT ship. You will just have to ask him. But save on shipping. Rent/borrow a pickup or use your own if you have one. It's just south of San Jose.

I would be able to produce a mirko 3 hrs. After having the molds in my possesion. No guessing game here. And I would still make them from fiberglass only.

If it can be shipped it will be $$$$ man. Considering it is Mirko I know they made a beefy mold if they were gonna use it for production. Just call and ask him. He is a pretty friendly guy. Fairly blunt and to the point but yea.

Here's the thing.

The idea of several people "investing" in a $400 mold was just a bad idea. First off, if you couldnt afford the mold, then you couldnt afford the overhead in producing the splitters. Second, what do those people get back for their investment? What, you were just gonna give them their money back by giving them a discount on a splitter after they had advanced you money so that you can make a profit in the end? Ask a bank for a loan sometime, then tell them you arent gonna pay them any interest, see how far that gets you. Lastly, asking a bunch of people you dont know to trust you and loan you money without any collateral or set in stone guarantee of return on their investment sounds really silly.

This is what bagged was getting at with you the whole time. You were just fussing and complaining so much that people were picking on you, that you were unable to realize that he was pointing out some very VALID things to you that were obstructing your plan and reducing the feasibility of this venture.

Bagged will you be willing to make them in CF, this is really where I am getting another one for shows and such. As of right now I have one with a skid plate and dont really care for all of this. CF is the only thing that will include me in purchasing another.

Bagged will you be willing to make them in CF, this is really where I am getting another one for shows and such. As of right now I have one with a skid plate and dont really care for all of this. CF is the only thing that will include me in purchasing another.

no, these molds will be used as originally designed and planned. if i were to buy the mold i would make them for members and sell them 2 or 3 at a time. but i wouldnt be making them all the time as i always have 10 other svt things going on at all times. biggest reason for me wanting the molds is i have the capability to make these and with me these molds are gonna stay with the contour people, well because i am the contour people i respect your efforts doc. but i bet most here would feel more comfortable with these in my possesion because then the site basically owns them as i would more or less donate them to ceg itself.
plus there is more of a market for them here hell if i wanted i could sell 8 of them to the members whos cars are here now and 8 more to my local buddies
