hey, my results are fine if you take the money I spent into account...

besides for the mystery short/toasted alt/rain issue, and the "friends angry ex slashing 300 bucks in tires" issue, it just needs a dyno tune.

and I only have 500 bucks more in my car (total for absolutely every thing) than most posers spend for some other guy to shove a taurus engine in their's.

i tried jiggling/unplugging/cleaning the cables (the three connections on the side of the motor) and got nothing. i fiddled with the starter, that fixed the starter issue.

well, time to go back to basics, check for fuel and spark.

in my experience, back to basics usually fixes the problem. it's always the most obviouse things that get overlooked

well if you want an example of obvious, my "alternator problem" finally actually killed my car at walmart today, in the middle of the little walmart road.

wanna know what it turned out being? bad battery terminal, dur...

I think the pulse wheel was discussed and deemed OK somewhere already in this enormous thread .

Sounds like whatever the original problem was that killed the original 2.5L was never fixed. It'll be interesting to see what Bagged discovers.

It was discussed and Andrew said he put it on correctly. If IRC he switched the pulse wheels on the motors and didn't just adjust the one on the 3L, I am thinking it is off as the wheels are not identical. Just my thought.

maybe it is paint scheme?

hopefully bagged will be able to straighten it out.....

I think fresh knowledgeable eyes are the only way this car will run again.
