I have a 1979 Mercury Zephyr for sale
Asking $750 obo cash only!
It has a straight 6 in it so it is good on gas. Has under 100k miles on it.
It's a 4 door, good winter ride Interior is a little rough , but it is nothing a seat cover can't fix! Runs & drives, may need to bleed brakes, but good car.

Hey, I love these cars, too, but what's with this price? I like the use of the C4, if you're gonna have an auto. The closely related C5 is one of the best autos I've driven. It's vacuum controlled, unlike the AOD that uses the throttle valve (TV) cable. Both were awesome.

It has spent all its life in AZ, FL and 3 years in MI garage. 2 speed automatic 6 cylinder 1 barrel carb.. Its stops and drives very nice, Its a must see and a head turner.

All right, you. Perhaps you'd like a hacksaw so that you may place each of the fenders in different counties to make room for that thing. The biggest engine ever offered in a Falcon was a 302. The engine bay just can't accomodate a big block. Not to mention the deck height might prevent you from being able to close the hood.
You could, however, do this:

I know that 429 were pretty tall engines, hell they could fill out the engine bay of a '70 Mustang:laugh: But that's what C.I. hoods are for. Heck, that' what keep's Goodmark's fiberglass division in business:laugh:
But this 347 just isn't big enough. Cool, yes. Torquey, yes. Cool enough... Almost:shrug: I'd love me some Ford 790 crate monster in that puppy:drool:

1980 mercury capri, car is absolutly nice, cleanest car on craigs list. body is straight as an arrow, if your into these cars... i am not going to finish this car so here it is, this has an 8.8 richmond mini spool 4.10 gears, south side lower lift bars 50/50 drag shocks, 5 lug conversion all the way around. car is rust free underneath all the way back, paint is in great condition red metalic. no dents dings or scratches, you wont be disapointed!!!! also has driveshaft safty loop installed. interior is really clean , has halo headrest seats from a 85 mustang gt. dash has no cracks in it this is a stick shift car has clutch pedal in it. functional ram air hood from factory was a turbo car. all glass is great. under the hood has alot to be desired but it is rust free, car was in an acceident along time ago, radiator, fender appron, and passenger frame rail was bent but this was not bad at all. this can be pulled out to be perfect or you can drive the way it is with no issues in driveablity. this has the body kit on it also the paint is almost perfect. new tires on it all they way around....this was going to be a street race car but no longer have funds to finish it. please call 586-943-9259

the 429? I can look at it when ever I want to :laugh: I also got to drive it in a parking lot a few years ago :laugh: can you say torque :laugh:
look a couple posts up..sure its a wagon, but it is a fairlane.
