yup

^ that's pretty similar to what I planned on buying (couldn't decide between the regular P6T (not the deluxe) and a similar EVGA motherboard) and a 920, but I cheaped out and went with the AMD

I couldn't convince myself to spend ~$230 for a motherboard and another ~$230 for the 920 when I could buy both the AMD motherboard (with pretty solid built in graphics) and processor for the $230 and reuse my old RAM instead of shelling out $150 for a 6GB DDR3 kit

Yeah, that is basically what I do. Recycling a machine and parts until they are becoming kind of obsolete.

Looking at a couple different cars here:
2002 Jag x-type 3.0L 5 speed sport 110,000 miles $6000
2007 Fusion 3.0L AWD 75,000 miles $9950

I really like the thought of a fusion but they aren't a 5 speed....the jag is a little older, more miles, not quite as reliable but almost 1/2 the cost. :help:

A little older? The Fusion is 3 years old, the Jag is 8  More than twice as old.

I'm sure the Jag would be a lot more luxurious, but if something were to break I'm sure it would cost twice as much to repair.

I have been looking at costs for jag repairs and there are a couple things that scare the crap out of me, but most other things aren't that bad. A throttle body replacement is like $1400. :help:

Block is identical. Heads and up are different (intakes, throttle body, valve covers, etc).

Honestly, would you feel comfortable driving one that has 110K miles on it? Normally I am not that hesitant to buy a car that has higher miles if it was well taken care of and it runs good. I still need to drive down there and drive this thing and see it. From the pics it looks really clean on the outside. I just worry about the clutch and rear transfer case

$6k isn't much so I'd look at it. If there aren't any glaring issues I'd say go for it.

yeah. I just hate driving down there. back and forth in a day is a little bit of haul just to see cars.

I would feel guilty driving that far just to LOOK at cars. To pick one up would obviously be different, but I agree, Duluth to the cities just to find out the car was not as advertised would make we wanna commit a crime...
