Black doors, red seude inserts .....rear doors match. :)

Full of win. I wish I can find a suede color for the insert. I might just color match. How hard is it to put back together?

not too bad. i used PL Premium Poly Urethane (recommended by my friends shop who deal with aftermarket work) to get them back together which is a permanent solution...i only had a few clamps and it takes 24hours to fully dry/cure with mechanical assistance so i did one panel per day, the rears being super easy to reattach as they almost snapped into place and didnt need clamps where the fronts were 3 parts each so i had to urethane the top strip to the suede panel first, then the next night that peice to the full bottom peice. For the speaker grills, I had to get a dremel and dremel off the mounting tabs since i didnt want to cut that many holes for them to mount near the original spot, so i left the 2 longer "studs" they have to line it up and now it sat flat, i urethaned the underside of the face to the panel.

And incase you are wondering, I used a heatgun to soften the plastic rivet tabs that hold the panels together and then cut them off.

I was pretty bored all day, so I took a few good pics (meaning i stopped being lazy and uploaded pics to my photobucket haha) ...so heres a few- first a shot of my black 18'' enkei gf-1s, and then some of my interior/doorpanels. The inserts are seude as previously mentioned, and are a pretty close match colour wise to the Sparcos :)

Keep in mind the flash makes it all look much brighter than it really is. It flows very well and looks amazing in person, especially on a true black interior. (minus my wheel, gotta install the cougar one soon lol)

Soooo.... much.... RED!! You going to be doing anything with the rear seats?

The flash makes it more in your face then it really is. Its actually the perfect amount without being overboard. The rear seats won't be in the car, as its being more of a "track prepped" look for 2011.

July 4th, 2011 - update time!

First off, last night I met up with Alex CRG and picked up a little goodie for my motor - a Harry 65mm mustang TB

Then, a nice surprise today :D

And both sides have fully boxed in springs...

Getting closer now......very excited. If you missed earlier on, its a Stage 2 Yellow Level pressure plate with a Stage 2 carbon-fiber yellow level clutch disc. Said it was the best option for a street/track car without the aggressive stg3 6puck setup i previously had. It is also supposed to be tough on wear, so it will last alot longer than the 6 puck too. I think I'll enjoy it....just need to grab an intake now this weekend and start putting the motor in.

Picked up my new intake setup last night off CRG..so fiiiiiiinally I now have all my parts needed and this weekend it begins- clutch/flywheel install, bolt the tranny back up to the motor and get everything on the motor so we can drop it in (headers, my new alternator, clean up the valvecovers, etc). All this leaves now is to pick up my trunklid/taillights from my friends bodyshop, and find an ebrake handle. Then she's done for the summer! (For now )

What intake are you runnin?

Oh, and I'm looking at some GF1s in 17s lol They're silver.

haha nice, gf1s are nice i must say :p

Im running a BAT intake pipe to a K&N inside a Pudmunkie heatshield sealed to my hood when its closed. After a 40 minute highway drive you can put your hand on the filter/inside the shield and its just warm to the touch, so a huge difference from a SRI without a shield. Pic update in a few mins!

Ok so since ive been suuuper lazy, heres my update from this weekend! Got the clutch, pressureplate, and flywheel done. Installed the new friction plate on the flywheel first, and then got it all lined up and installed onto the motor. Lastly, got the tranny on and the setup just needs an alternator install and my headers on before we can drop it in, so its very close to completion now!

Yes I know, the spacer plate wasnt on for the photo. We just finger tightened the bolts to make sure everything lined up and I snapped a pic.

There we go, its on! lol

So thats all for now, hopefully this weekend the motors in the bay and its just a matter of pplug and play for everything :)

Update:

Now just gotta slowly hook everything up and get stuff back together....would anyone happen to have coolant line diagrams / pics of routing? Just to be safe I want to know where each hose comes/goes to since they are all pulled

I will be swapping my ST220 on, but my candy toreador red 05 valvecovers wont be used. Different PCV setup so ive decided to leave that and sell my red covers, and just run these for now. No big deal to me..hopefully i have more photos sooooon

I didn't have any issues with the coolant lines, they really only seemed to fit one way.

little update, sorry no photos yet!

picked up a MINT cougar wheel today for $25. steal! then i also got my 94a urethane mounts bolted in, and figured out most of my coolant lines. On a bad note though, my passenger GCK axle has a torn boot now due to my friend not moving it while dropping the motor in, and it [pinched and tore it pretty good, so theres another $100 needed to spend before i can get this thing on the road and reveal its "full new look" from when it was put away :(

ya ya ya, find the how-to n00b :p

soon though, more focused on my motor haha....its getting so close, but still quite a bit to do. I just wanna see the whole car clean and take some good pics with the new look
