yup

5 people and 65 max hp rating. The motor is a little older and a 40 horse...it is a 1990 while the boat is a 99. I really do want a honda four stroke on it. I love the one the wife parents had on their little boston whaler.

Oh man, if they were 5 full adults there's no wonder. Try it again with 2 people in it and it should be way better. We notice a difference with 2->3 and if you get to 4 it starts to get ugly. Yeah you should definitely get like a 60 Honda or Yamaha 4 stroke

We only had 3 people in it, but it is rated for 5. I can only imagine how weighed down it is going to be with all the fish we catch.

Speaking of fish... I need to get out and go fishing. Although I have never owned a boat. It's always been waders and walking the shoreline, which is good fun for bass and northern. This year I want to get out and do some trout fishing. Maybe even break out the fly rod and tie some flies.

Last time I went trout fishing was something like 1994/95. It was in Farmington on Vermillion River, which actually produced a 22 1/2" Brown for me.

You can go once you finish your chores building your car. :)

The contour is still alive, but its been sitting for awhile now. Though it would not take much to get it back to daily driver status. I do miss driving it and plan to.. soon enough.

Two words: extremefront tirewear

Everything critical up front is new...so my next step is to swap in the STOCK springs, install new set of blizzaks and alignment. My current plan is to designate this as my "100 mile a day winter commuter". I've got few months to wrap this up.

Think I found out the problem with the boat. We are fairly sure it had the wrong prop on it. The engine runs fine, but it would only top out at around 4100 RPM's.....the engine should go up to around 5000-5500. Talked to the place where I bought it and they gave me a new prop and bushing kit for free....about $140 worth of stuff. They even said to keep the old one in case I need a spare. It had a 14 on it and he gave me a 12 with bigger blades. Going to throw it on tonight or tomorrow and see how she goes.
