yup

Swapped out the prop on the boat and she flies now. RPM's get up to 5800 and clocked it at about 28 mph. Planes out just fine now as well.

Picking up a partailly parted out 90 gt hatch next weekend, couple hundred bucks. Why not

A while back I posted that some guy was pissed because he was having some issues with his car. I installed a diff and headers on it a year ago. I thought it was 7 years ago but that was when we put the 3L in not the diff/header install which I did on my own at my house. Anyway he's still pissed and wants me to do something about it. He says his axles failed because grease came out of the CV boots over time. Now, apparently he is still driving it..., the trans or axles failed because the car won't move in gear but the speedo works like normal (probably axle). He wants me to fix it. I'm a nice guy and all but the car was perfect when it left. I put miles on it and he drove it all the way to up north (2 Harbors I think) and never said anything. If he came back within a month or two I would have taken care of any issue related to my work but he didn't. He wants me to fix the car. Thoughts? I'd think about discounting any work (not for free) but if the guy had issues with my previous work I'd be worried about payment and any arguments that pop up because the entire situation.

Where the axles new when the diff was done? if you just reused the old one, it sounds like an old age issue. Also if the CV boot was leaking wouldn't you want to reseal as soon as possible. I assume the person doing the oil changes, him or mechanic, would have noticed axle grease thrown around.

Over all to me it sounds like someone trying to pin their issues on someone else.
